Bio

Composer and trombone player, Christian Bevilacqua was born in Muro Leccese on June 10th 1991.

He runned into music by chance when he was 12, and one year later he started to study trombone. He continued his studies at “Nino Rota” Conservatory in Monopoli, where he graduated in Jazz Trombone in 2018 after a Bachelor in Science of Nursing (2013) and in Classic Trombone in 2020 with Giuseppe De Marco in “Tito Schipa” Conservatory in Lecce.

In 2020 he obtained a Master of Music in Film Scoring at Adsum in Lecce, where he studied with Francesco De Donatis.

Then in 2020, he moved to Paris, where he started a postgraduate Erasmus at EDIM (Ecole de Musique Actuelles founded by Daniel Beaussier).

Christian is a very open-minded artist who pays attention to modernity, innovation and new sounds.

In spite of his academic studies, he has been always looking for experiences in different musical genres to feed his musical creativity, that is free by limits and preconceptions and with a focus to the black music, elettronics and new tendencies.

As a trombone player, he is specialized in black music, especially in jazz, ska, reggae, funky and hip hop.

He published in the post lockdown of 2020, as producer, “Jazz Quarantine – Tape I“, an experiment of Hip Hop, Lo-Fi and Jazz.

In 2019, as composer and trombone player with Rego Suno, he published the album “Fucktotum“.
